Spring Season about to Begin
The Spring Season will be beginning soon:

Please make sure to have your Player Record card and Current Sports Physical on file with the athletics office. Your physical needs to be valid for one calendar year. Your physical must be dated 6/1/2011 or newer. See Mr. Puzan for more information.
New Student Interviews Being held January 21, 28 & Feb. 4, 2012.
We have sent out our interview invitations for the 2012-2013 school year. Parents, you should have received a postcard home from Rickover indicating your interview time and date and you should have received a letter from your Elementary school. If you have any questions about interviews of you need to reschedule, please call, 773.534.2890 x 24216.
Winter Sports Coming to a Close
Rickover winter sports season is coming to a close. Girls Basketball Playoffs will be on Wednesday, January 25. Boys Basketball Playoffs will be held the following week. Boys Swimming will have their season Playoff meet at UIC on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2012.
Classes to Resume.
Winter Break end and classes resume on January 9, 2012.
You're a Good Man Charlie Brown
You're a Good Man Charlie Brown will be performed by Rickover Students Musical Department on:

Tickets are $5 to all who come.
Open House for 7th and 8th Grade Students and Parents
Rickover will be holding two Open House Schedules for prospective students. The first one will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 26th from 5:30pm - 7:30pm and on Sunday, Nov. 6th from 1:00pm - 3:00pm. Please make sure to enter the building from exit #10, which is located on the West side of the building adjacent to the parking lot. Cross Country at Citywide Meet
Rickover Naval Academy's All City Cross Country Meet Winner is Maira Moreno. She placed 7th in the Freshman Division. We are so proud of our teamate! Our girls teams consisted of : Selenia Sosa, Luz Vargus, Makia Lakes, Jennifer Martinez and Maira Moreno. Sebastain Rodriguez, Sintayehu Regassa, Duc Tran, Maricio Garcia, Joshua Mendez, Anthony Johnson, Daniel Odunukwe and David Diaz represented our boys teams. What a great finish to a wonderful, memorable season!
Cross Country at Senn Race
Just last night, October 5, 2011, the Rickover Naval Academy's Cross Country Team ran against Senn High School. The female team took first (Maira Moreno), third (Jennifer Martinez) and fourth, fifth and sixth( Selenia Sosa, Zobari Nwidor, Luz Vargas & Makia Lakes). The males took first ( Sintayehu Regassa), third ( Mauricio Garcia), fourth, fifth, seventh and ninth place ( Duc Tran, John Willis, Ricardo Morales, David Diaz, Sebastian Rodriguez,Daniel Odunukwe). We hope Nam Doung and Joshua Mendez come off the injured list soon . We need you back .Our teams want a trophy for the trophy case.
Boys Soccer Season Summary
Boys Soccer has had a much better season this year with a 2-7 record going into city playoffs with Kenwood Academy on Oct. 4, 2011. State Playoffs will be held on Oct. 8, 2011, at Montrose Athletic Fields vs. Roycemore HS at 4pm.
