Girls Soccer Team wins Regional Finals!!! On Saturday May 12th, the girls soccer team won the 1A Girls Soccer IHSA Regionals. The score was 3-1. They go on to play Regina Dominican from Wilmette on Wednesday, May 16th at 4:30 at North Chicago Community High School, located at 1717 Seventeenth St, North Chicago, IL 60064. Way to go Lady Seadragons.

City Wide ACT Testing On Tuesday, April 24, 2012 & Wednesday, April 25, 2012 there will be no school for Freshman, Sophomores and Seniors due to Junior ACT & PSAE testing. School will resume on Thursday, April 26, 2012.

Robotics Comes Back Victorious Congratulations to the Robotics Team for finishing as Quarterfinalists in this year's Midwest Regional Robotics Competition with 49 teams from 5 states. This was the second time the team made it to the elimination rounds. Good job SeaBots!

Author Sarah Cortez visits Rickover Naval Academy SARAH CORTEZ is a poet, educator, and law enforcement officer. Her poetry collection won the PEN Texas Literary Award in Poetry. She lives and works in Houston, Texas. Wednesday, February 29, 2012 from 5:30PM - 7:00PM Students and parents are invited to attend this free evening at Rickover.

Winter Sports Coming to a Close Rickover winter sports season is coming to a close. Girls Basketball Playoffs will be on Wednesday, January 25. Boys Basketball Playoffs will be held the following week. Boys Swimming will have their season Playoff meet at UIC on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2012.

Classes to Resume. Winter Break end and classes resume on January 9, 2012.

Open House for 7th and 8th Grade Students and Parents Rickover will be holding two Open House Schedules for prospective students. The first one will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 26th from 5:30pm - 7:30pm and on Sunday, Nov. 6th from 1:00pm - 3:00pm. Cross Country at Citywide Meet Rickover Naval Academy's All City Cross Country Meet Winner is Maira Moreno. She placed 7th in the Freshman Division. We are so proud of our teamate! Our girls teams consisted of : Selenia Sosa, Luz Vargus, Makia Lakes, Jennifer Martinez and Maira Moreno. Sebastain Rodriguez, Sintayehu Regassa, Duc Tran, Maricio Garcia, Joshua Mendez, Anthony Johnson, Daniel Odunukwe and David Diaz represented our boys teams. What a great finish to a wonderful, memorable season!
