Please note:
  • Students must complete a minimum of 40 hours of service between 9th and 12th grade in order to graduate.
  • All sophomores must complete a minimum of 20 hours of service in order to be promoted to junior status.
  • Students must spend time preparing for and reflecting on the service-learning experience. Students completing service-learning hours on their own must complete the pre-service preparation and post-service reflection form (www.servicelearning.cps.k12.il.us/Forms.html) in order to receive credit toward promotion and/or graduation. Students participating in classroom-integrated projects must participate in classroom preparation and reflection activities.
  • All service-learning projects and experiences must be pre-approved by the school's Service-Learning Coach. Service-learning hours will not be granted for projects that have not been pre-approved.
